AACo has a long-term commitment to indigenous engagement, having partnered with indigenous community groups across the Northern Territory for around 150 years.
Our indigenous programs include:
Corella Creek Program
AACo has had a close professional partnership with the Corella Creek Aboriginal Community (Kukululua People), which is situated on Brunette Downs Station in the Northern Territory, for more than 30 years.
This program offers the community employment and training opportunities across a variety of roles at our Brunette Downs, Anthony Lagoon and Eva Downs properties and contract mustering teams that work on our Barkly stations are encouraged to offer employment to local indigenous people from Tennant Creek through to Borooloola.
Real Jobs Program
Over the past three years, AACo has been a host employer for the Indigenous Land Corporation's Real Jobs Program. Our Tipperary and Camfield Stations have employed several indigenous individuals through the Real Jobs Program during this time.
In terms of future indigenous engagement, AACo is committed to employing members of the local indigenous community for our proposed Meat Processing Facility, which will be situated at Livingston Valley, approximately 50 km from Darwin.
