We have in place one of Australia’s most progressive training programs, a combination of theoretical and practical training that assists in encouraging lifelong learning.
During February each year up to 50 first year Jackaroos and Jillaroos with various levels of experience in the beef industry attend AAco’s Induction week. This week allows new employees to focus and learn new skills that will become a part of their daily workload. These skills include horsemanship, horse shoeing, cattle work, fencing, all terrain driving, water and mechanical maintenance, and motorbike skills.
Induction week also allows new staff to learn information such as nutritional needs of cattle, Occupational Health and Safety within the Industry and their involvement in the paddock to plate production chain.
