At AAco, we believe in your ability to learn and achieve when opportunities are presented. Our commitment to ongoing training demonstrates that we recognise professional and personal development is important to your career. Hence, we offer our employees the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge.

AAco’s progressive training programs offer an opportunity for you to kick-start your career in the rural industry, enabling you to develop your skills while making a real contribution to the company.

At the beginning of the year new staff to AAco partake in an Induction week on stations. This week allows new employees to focus and learn new skills that will become a part of their daily workload. These skills include horsemanship, horse shoeing, cattle work, fencing, basic chemical usage, water and mechanical maintenance, and motorbike skills. Induction week also allows new staff to learn information such as nutritional needs of cattle, Occupational Health and Safety within the Industry and their involvement in the paddock to plate production chain.

All staff have an opportunity to create with their Managers, an Individual Learning and Development Plan. These development needs are addressed through informal and formal training programs throughout the year and the course of their employment.
