Craig Young – Manager Wondoola Station
Craig was raised in Western Queensland, in the Quilpie district, where he was educated through Distance Education, followed by eight years of boarding school in Brisbane at Church of England Grammar School (Churchie).
Craig commenced work in the agricultural industry after completing year 12 at school. Craig worked his way up after being a Jackeroo for many years to work as a Head Stockman at Abingdon Downs (Georgetown) for a year, and then transferred to Peak Vale (Clermont) for the following 18 months.
Craig then left to work at Milo, where he was Overseer for six months and then Manager for 9 and a half years. Craig then moved onto Oban (Mt Isa) as Manager for 2 years. He was then offered the management of Burleigh Station (Richmond) where Craig stayed for 7 years. Craig then managed Warren Vale and Glenore (Normanton) for 1 year and then transferred to the management of Vanrook Station (Normanton) for 4 years. After leaving Vanrook Craig was appointed Manager of Armraynald Station (Burketown), Colonial Agricultural Company. Shortly after joining (8 months) Colonial, the company was sold which is when Craig, and his wife Cynthia, joined AAco as Manager Lawn Hill in October 2006, and in 2009, transferred to Wondoola Station.
